Leal, Ismael F.,Sr., Mrs. (Guadalupe Ortiz)

Guadalupe O. Leal, 91, of Plainview passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Plainview First Assembly with Pastor Nelson Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

A visitation will be held at 6 to 8 P.M. Monday evening, July 15, 2019 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.

Guadalupe was born on July 12, 1928 in Amarillo to Refugio and Juana Ortiz. She grew up and attended school in Amarillo. She married Ismael F. Leal in 1957 and was a homemaker. She had a very strong faith and her favorite saying was that ?God was a Big God?. She had a green thumb and loved gardening and cooking. She really enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Guadalupe was the type of person that always put others needs before her own.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ismael F. Leal, Sr.; parents, Refugio and Juana Ortiz; and 4 sisters and 1 brother, Linda, Porfi, Maria, Lupita, and Jesus.

Guadalupe is survived by her 11 children, Felix Bustillos, Jr. of Amarillo, Susan Chavez and husband Felix of Amarillo, Janie Sauceda and husband Ernest of Hobbs, N.M., Salvador Bustillos of Amarillo, Tony Leal and wife Ida of Amarillo, David Leal and wife Josie of Austin, Barbara Ramirez and husband Ruben of Lubbock, Ismael Leal, Jr. of Amarillo, Rebecca Cardneas and husband Abel of Albuquerque, N.M., Sara Garcia and husband Joe of Plainview, Fernando Leal and wife Claudia of Plainview; 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
