Mathis, Braxton Traylynn

Braxton Traylynn Mathis, 21, of Plainview, went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 16, 2019. Services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019, at Bartley Memorial Chapel located at Bartley Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home. A rosary will be held Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Bartley Funeral Home.

Braxton was born on August 28, 1997 to Christopher Lyn Mathis and Elizabeth Evette Mathis. He was born and raised in Plainview, Texas and attended Plainview High School where he graduated.

Braxton was known for his contagious million-dollar smile and big heart. He was a humble young man who was always there when you needed a helping hand. Braxton enjoyed playing video games and those who love him would describe him as a gamer. He was a caring young man and everyone who knew him loved him deeply. He was his mother?s pride, joy, and heart. Braxton will be missed beyond words.
