Minnie Lee Pearce, 94, of Plainview passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, in Plainview.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 22, 2014, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Tim Morrow officiating. Services are under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.
Minnie was born on June 4, 1920, in Plainview to the late Richard L. and Minnie D. (Lemaster) Williams. She married Olin Wilburn Pearce on March 20, 1938, in Plainview. He preceded her in death on July 11, 1988. She devoted her life to serving her family as a homemaker. Minnie also enjoyed playing 42 and bridge with friends. She enjoyed quilting, working arts and crafts, and doing ceramics. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Plainview for 67 years, and she attended the Reapers' Bible Class. Minnie also served in her church in the nursery and in the kitchen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and seven brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Brenda Bass and Kaylene Pearce, both of Plainview, and her sister Edna Williams. She is also blessed with grandchildren, Kim Bentley and Brent Bass, and two great-grandchildren.
