McEachern, Terry

Terry McEachern, 68, of Plainview, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 in the afternoon on Friday, January 4, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church in Plainview with Lanny Voss officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5-7:00P.M. at Lemons Funeral Home. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Terry was born on February 19, 1950 to Eldon and Lois McEachern in Lubbock, TX. Terry was a Plainview High School graduate of 1968. He attended Texas Tech University and graduated in 1972, he continued his studies at Mississippi College School of Law, graduating in 1980. Terry was a District Attorney for Hale and Swisher Counties for 20 years and had a private practice for over 15 years. He had a great passion for law and for the courtroom. He cherished family time and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Terry was an avid Texas Tech supporter, a Grand Mason, and an Eagle Scout.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Terry is survived by two daughters: Deatra Harper and husband Jay of Glen Rose, TX, Memory Callison and husband Coy of Lubbock, TX; grandchildren: Jadon, Cannon and Kolton Harper, Kimber and Kally Bennett, and Lily and Sadie Callison; one sister: Freda Dean of Ruidoso, NM and his companion: Pam Day of Lubbock, TX.
