Garrett, Bruce, Mrs. (Barbara Carroll Lees)

Barbara Lees Garrett, 78, of Plainview passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Jeremy Gilbert officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Mrs. Garrett was born on November 21, 1940 in Shafter, CA to Marvin and Annie (Robinson) Carroll. She attended school in Rochester, TX. Barbara married Jim Lees on November 22, 1956 in Rochester. They were married for 38 years when he passed away on December 17, 1994. She married Bruce Garrett on February 13, 1999 and this marriage lasted 18 years until Bruce passed on December 2, 2017.

Barbara was a homemaker and she worked for United Parcel Service for many years, but her true passion was caring for children in her home. Through the years she took care of many children and they all refer to her as ?Mamoo?. Her favorite pastime was camping in Colorado with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her two devoted husbands; two sons, Dale Lees and Mack Lees; one brother, Tommy Farror.

She is survived by two daughters, Danna Garcia of Hobbs, NM, Rhonda Marshall and husband Kent of Plainview; ten grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; one brother, Danny Carroll of Imperial Beach, CA; one sister, Alice Hollingsworth of Butler, OK and one sister-in-law, Lonnetta Farror of Rochester, TX.
