Thomas, Hobby,Jr., Mrs. (Chris Grantham)

Chris Thomas, 85, of Hale Center passed away on November 6, 2018. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 12, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Hale Center with Jimmy Cameron, pastor and Robert Malcolm officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.

Mrs. Thomas was born on September 30, 1933 in Arkansas to Ernest Nathaniel and Nellie Agnus Grantham. She graduated from Hale Center High School in 1950. She married Hobby Thomas, Jr. on December 22, 1951 in Clovis, NM. She was a homemaker, an avid golfer and loved bowling. She was a member of the First Methodist Church in Hale Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Diggs and husband Frank of White Deer, Laura Spencer of Hale Center; her son, Hobby Thomas, III and wife Erika of Deadwood, SD; two sisters, Jessie Carter and Maxine Pannell; four grandchildren, Dondi Spann and husband Dustin, Cody Spencer, Becky Diggs, Jake Diggs and wife Jahiderlyn; six great grandchildren, Kace, Noah, Khord, Brodi, Oakley and Huntley.

The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to First Methodist Church in Hale Center or Runningwater Draw Care Center in Olton.
