Martinez, Victor L.

Victor L. Martinez, 70, of Hale Center passed away on Thursday, November 8, 2018. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Hale Center. Interment will follow in the Hale Center Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.

A Rosary will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, November 9, 2018 at the church.

Mr. Martinez was born on June 15, 1948 in Caldwell, Texas to Frank and Ofelia (Lopez) Martinez. He grew up in Hale Center and was a nurse at Hi-Plains Hospital for 22 years. He enjoyed playing the guitar and lifting weights. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lupe Martinez and Rudy Martinez; and a sister, Jane Cole

He is survived by his brothers, Frank Martinez, Phillip Martinez, Robert Martinez; a sister, Linda Perez and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to St. Jude Children?s Hospital, 205 W. 700 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84101.
