Moore, Robert Ernest

Robert Ernest Moore, 72, of Plainview passed away peacefully surrounded by his devoted family on October 20, 2018. Robert was born on October 1, 1946 in Brownfield to Henry and Thelma Moore, both whom preceded him in death. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1965 after which he joined the United States Navy and served on a submarine for 4 years. After his military service, he returned home and went to work for the family business O.K. Radio and T.V. and helped manage it until its closing in 2010. Always one to stay busy, he also owned Nites Out where he enjoyed getting to know his customers.

Robert was a member of the Plainview B.O.P.E. Elks Lodge for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years Shirley Rogers; one son, John Moore (Susan) of Lubbock; daughters, Robie Fromm (Joe) of Racine, Wisconsin and Shara Garcia (Rodney Doran) of Plainview; grandchildren, Shayla and T.J. Waldburger, Slade Moore, Bailee Moore, Blake Mulder, Chyanne and Ben Pena, Scott Ferguson, Savannah Calderon; great grandchildren, Colt, Axel, and Haylyn Waldburger, Benji Pena, Jonathen Martinez, Zaibrea Calderon, Madisyn Calderon who all thought their PawPa was the greatest PawPa ever. His is also survived by a brother, Wayne and Myrna Moore of Plainview; two sisters, Henriette and Alvin Elldred of Plainview, Karen and Randy Noel of Plainview; many nieces and nephews.
