Summers, Charles W.

Charles W. Summers, of Plainview, passed from this life on October 4, 2018 Prairie House Living Center. A viewing will take place Sunday October 3, 2018 from 6-8 at Bartley Funeral Home. Graveside arrangements are under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home on Monday October 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Plainview Cemetery.

Charles was born on February 28, 1938 in Thomasville, MO to Woodrow and Sarah Summers (Pierice). He married Emma Louise Ferguson on October 29, 1982.

Mr. Summers worked as a mechanic at Jimmy?s Garage with his brother and then worked at C Bar Feed Lot. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife; Emma Louise Summers of Plainview, daughters; Lacrecia Morphis and husband Joe of Kress, TX, Cynthia Jernigen and husband Eric of Afton, TX, and Paula Summers of Plainview, TX, step-daughters; Mary Hedick of Lubbock, TX, Vanda Conant and husband Mike of Tome, NM; Step-sons include Dewayne Wright of Gardendale, TX and Jody Wright of Carlsbad, NM, Brothers; Carl Summers and wife Norma of Georgetown, TX, Roger Summers and wife Glenda of Plainview, TX, Randy Summers and wife Carrie of Henderson, NV, Sisters; Wanda Dudely of Plainview, TX, Faye Shearer of Sugar Hill, GA, Sarah Flatt of Portland, OR, Lucille Gaylord of Smithsville, TX.

He is preceded in death by his brother; Jimmy David Summers.

Pallbearers will be John Gravelle, Bryant Amador, Brennon Amador, Eric Jernigan, Chris Summers, and Kevin McGill.

Honorary Pallbearers include Ricky Summers and Terrence Shane Summers.
