Anglin, Verlin, Mrs. (Betty June Abbe Warren)

Betty June Warren Anglin, 87, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend of many, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the age of 87. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 1, 2018 in the chapel of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.

Betty was born on February 15, 1931 to John & Lilly Grace Abbe in Ropesville, Texas. She married Witt Anthony ?Pete? Warren on August 12, 1952. They raised two daughters Linda and Michele. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1991 after 38 wonderful years of marriage. After the passing of Pete, Betty married her high school sweetheart Verlin Anglin on March 5, 1995. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2018. She graduated from New Deal High School where she was a three time Basketball State Champ. Betty received her degree from Texas Tech in 1952. She taught school in Plainview for 30 years. She was recognized as teacher of the year twice. Betty was a member of New Deal Baptist Church where she was very active in the youth program. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and sewing and gave generously to Meals on Wheels and the South Plains Food Bank.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Alton Abbe and Novella LaFoon.

She is survived by two daughters: Linda Sisk & husband Bruce of Plainview and Michele Manning & husband William of Lubbock; Grandchildren: Melissa Sisk & Cory Speed, Barrett Sisk & wife Megan and Krystle Garner & husband Kade; Great Grandchildren: Mackenzie Garner, Adelia Garner and Noah Fierros; Siblings: DeeAnn Jackson, Bonita Hestand and Dorothy Adams.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lubbock Meals on Wheels, 2304 34th Street, Lubbock, TX 79411.
