Brittian, Lewis Vincent

PLAINVIEW ? Services for Lewis Vincent Brittian, 81, of Plainview will be at 2 p.m. today at Bartley-Silva Memorial Chapel with Johnny McDonald, deacon, officiating.

Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bartley-Silva Funeral Home in Plainview.

He died Sunday, March 16, 2003.

He was born May 25, 1921, in Hale County. He married Cleora Stark on April 14, 1941, in Clovis, N.M. He was a 1939 graduate of Plainview High School. He was a farmer and rancher.

He organized Comonchero Riding Club in March 1963. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, Lions Club, Sheriff's Posse and Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Eugene and Avie; and a granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Vanessa Rivers of Plainview; a sister, Juanita Reese of Plainview; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
