Baker, Darwin (PeeWee)

Darwin ?PeeWee? Baker, 83 of Plainview, passed away on July 27, 2018. A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 10 o? clock in the morning on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Plainview Cemetery with Earl McDonough and Johnny McDonald officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Lemons Funeral Home.

Darwin was born April 14, 1935 in Decatur, Texas to Jesse and Luna Baker. He was married to Linda (Hall) Baker on August 28, 1959 in Hart, Texas. They had more than 53 wonderful years together.

Darwin?s favorite pastime of all was spending time with his grandchildren and great ?grandbabies.? He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was a longtime member of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ.

Mr. Baker is survived by his son, Kelly Baker of Galveston; his daughters, Paula Baker, Teri Richardson and husband Steve, all of Odessa; grandchildren: Caitlin Cronenworth, Erin Henry and Dakota Baker all of Odessa; great-grandchildren Ettleighann Henry, Elleighanna Henry and Kai Gibbs of Odessa; his sister in law, Zella Powell of Nebraska; niece, Barbara Kay Hill of Searcy, Arkansas; and may other nieces and nephews.
Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and one brother.
