Wilcox, Jeff Archie

A Celebration of Life Service for Jeff Archie Wilcox, 66, of Lubbock, Tx., will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Bethany Baptist Church 4402 40th Street, Lubbock, Tx. With Bro. David Wood officiating. Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm until service time on Thursday. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Bartley Funeral Home in Plainview, TX. The Lord called Jeff home on June 3, 2018 in Lubbock.

Jeff was born on September 28, 1951 in Hale Center, TX, to Charles Jefferson and Annie Louise (Kelly) Wilcox. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam but didn?t have to serve on the front lines. He was sent to Germany. Jeff was Honorably Discharged on April 23, 1973. He married Connie Kern on June 30, 1979 in Hutchison, Ks. From this union they had three children, Brian, Amy Dawn, and Jarred.

Jeff owned his own landscape business. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Lubbock, Tx. He loved to fix things, especially cars. Jeff was the type of person that never met a stranger. He loved to cut up and joke around with people. He wasn?t an idle person, he always had to be doing something. Jeff also loved to go fishing and camping.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years; Connie Wilcox of Lubbock, his son; Brian Wilcox of Lubbock, brother; Charles Wilcox of Lubbock, and brother-in-law; Gary Kern and wife Carolyn of Topeka, Ks.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Charles and Annie Wilcox, brother; Milton Wilcox, and two children; Amy Dawn and Jarred Wilcox.
