Autry, Lois Reiser

Lois Reiser Autry, 91, passed away on July 10, 2018. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

She was born December 4, 1926 in Walters, Oklahoma and moved with her family to Parmer County, Texas when she was two years old. Her family then moved to Plainview in 1941. She attended elementary school in Friona and graduated from Plainview High School and Texas Tech University.

She taught school for 32 years in Bentonville, Arkansas, Petersburg, Plainview, Arlington and retired from Lubbock I.S.D. in 1986. Then she moved to Plano to be near her daughter. She was a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church, North Dallas Women?s Club, Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher?s Society in Plano, Retired Teachers Association and was a lifetime member in Texas Congress P.T.A. that was presented to her by her school in Lubbock.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Kay Atkins and her husband James of Plano, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Edward John and Myrtle Reiser and her brother Loyd David Reiser who was killed during World War II in Italy.
