Tilley, Leo Darmel, Mrs. (Betty Jo Boyd)

Betty Jo Tilley, 80, passed away on July 12, 2018. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 16, 2018 at Kornerstone Chapel with Oscar Chaves, chaplain, Area Community Hospice officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Visitation will be held at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service.

She was born February 8, 1938 in Matthews, Missouri to William and Alline (Nunn) Boyd. She married Leo Darmel Tilley who preceded her in death in 1983. She grew up in Missouri and moved to Texas in 1978. She was a bookkeeper for a family owned business for many years. She loved going to the casino and loved her family so much.

She is survived by her two sons, Leo Tilley, Jr., Dewayne Tilley & wife Ronda; two daughters, Alline Covington and Jodina Lopez; seven grandchildren, Cory Lopez, Stacy Hinojosa, Cassy Martinez, Coby, Casey and Chance Covington, Jeffery Tilley; sixteen great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; two sister, Sue Crites and husband David, Sharon Baehr and husband Danny and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, William, Roy and Kenneth Boyd and sisters, Imajane Helms, Pansy Sexton and Rebecca Presson.

The family suggests memorials to American Cancer Society.
