Straughan, Paul, Mrs. (Marjory Ellen Coleman)
Marjory Ellen Straughan passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 in Hale Center, Texas. She was born on February 24, 1937 in Boone County, Missouri to Delmar and Louise (Hunt) Coleman. Marjory was a professional business woman, a certified instructor of the Dale Carnegie Course and a homemaker. She also was a member of Huntsdale Baptist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and was much loved by her family and all who knew her. Marjory faced with great courage, strength, grace, whit and humor the rare diagnosis of Inclusion Body Myositis (sIBM).
Marjory is survived by her husband of 61 years, Paul Straughan of the home who was her loving caretaker always by her side, daughters Nanci Saunders (Steve) of Canyon, TX and Sara Pinard Brumley (Ricky) of Topeka, KS; sisters Carol Pipes of Columbia, MO and Annie Thornton of Rocheport, MO; six grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Marjory is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert, Charles and Phillip Coleman; infant sister, Mary Angel Coleman and son Hamilton Matthew Straughan.
Per her request, no services will be held and her ashes will be spread at a later date.
The family thanks all those who helped Paul care for Marjory, especially Yvonne Balderes and Eva Vara, allowing her to remain in the home.
