Gray, William (Bill), Mrs. (Betty Love)

Betty Gray, age 82, of Plainview, passed away on June 17, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Jeremy Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Cemetery. Arrangements under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Betty was born on March 27, 1936 in Childress, Texas to Floyd and Estella (Wiggington) Love. She married William (Bill) Gray on December 20, 1952 in Childress. They were married for over 58 years until Bill?s passing in June of 2011 and they were blessed with two children, Debbie and Willie.

Betty worked for over 50 years for the Plainview Independent School District, in the school cafeterias, at Lakeside Elementary for 44 years and Thunderbird Elementary for 6 years. Betty loved her job and she enjoyed spending time with all the children at the schools where she worked. She also appreciated her co-workers and was blessed in a job she truly enjoyed. Betty loved her family and to be surrounded by her loved ones was her greatest joy. She liked to stay busy and especially liked to do word search puzzles and other puzzle books. Betty is survived by her daughter, Debbie Ellena of Plainview; her grandchildren, Danny Simoneau, Jennifer Bradshaw, Justin Ellena, Chris Gray, Mike Gray and Krista Sisson; and her brother, Billy Ray Love of Wichita Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William ?Bill? Gray, her son, Willie Gray and six of her brothers and sisters.
