Churchwell, W.R. (Mutt), Mrs. (Joyce Hooten)

Joyce Churchwell, 88, of Plainview died on Sunday, May 27, 2018. A graveside service will be held at Plainview Memorial Park at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 P.M.at Garland Street Church of Christ under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview.

Joyce was born on January 29, 1930 in Tulia, Texas to Berry & Florence Hooten. She married W.R. ?Mutt? Churchwell on May 12, 1949 in Lockney. She raised her five children in Plainview as she worked at various positions with Gebos, Custom Farm Services, and retired from DPS in 1993. She was a member of Garland Street Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Paul Churchwell, and a grandson, Jeremy Painter.

She is survived by Jackie and Shelly Churchwell, Kaylene Hazel, Mark Churchwell and Mary Nasworthy, and Karen and Scott Snipes along with 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
