Law, Alvin, Mrs. (Daisy Wilson)

Daisy Law, 94, passed away on June 9, 2018 at Westridge Manor in Plainview. Daisy was born on August 1, 1923. She was the last of her immediate family to pass away. She is preceded by her husband, Alvin Law. They were married in Clovis, New Mexico on January 16, 1942. Alvin served in the army during World War II. Their son, Dennis, was born during Alvin?s deployment and was 16 months old when Alvin came home. Their daughter, Sylvia, was born 3 years after Dennis. Daisy was the author of a small book entitled IN TIMES GONE BY which was a memoir of the Wilson/Law family during the depression/World War II days. She also authored the chapter entitled ?The Robert E. (Bob) Wilson Family? in the book entitled HALE COUNTY: FACTS AND FOLKLORE.

Daisy?s parents were Robert (Bob) and Ollie B Wilson. She had four sisters; Helen, Ella Faye, Jeanie, Louise, and three brothers, Elton, James and Luke. Surviving are her son, Dennis Lee Law from Manhattan, Kansas and a daughter, Sylvia Kay Morris of Seagoville, Texas. Dennis is married to Linda Hyman Law and they have three children. ???Sylvia is married to Otis Morris and they have two daughters. Daisy has 5 grandchildren: Dwight Law, of Shanghai, China; Andrea Law, of Manhattan, Kansas, and Brent Law and his wife, Jeanine of Frisco, Texas, Shelley Morris and her husband, Cory, of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Carrie Clark of Waynesville, North Carolina. There are eight great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Daisy and Alvin farmed in the Happy Union area for many years and managed the bus station in Plainview until retirement. Daisy was a graduate of Petersburg High School and Alvin from Hale Center High School. They met at Lippert?s Business College in Plainview.
Alvin and Daisy enjoyed the post retirement summers in a cabin they built in Camp Blue Haven, New Mexico. Family reunions were common and the Laws entertained members of their extended family and friends at the cabin. Daisy was an artist and many paintings were given to members of the family. They were members of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ.

It was her wish that she donate her body to the Texas Tech Medical School. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Kornerstone Chapel under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Camp Blue Haven, 62 Camp S St, Las Vegas, NM 87701
