Johnny Calderon, age 76, of Hale Center, passed away on May 24, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M., Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in the Lemons Memorial Chapel with Larry Ybarbo officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements under the personal direction of Lemons Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 6-8P.M. in the Lemons Memorial Chapel.

Johnny was born on October 25, 1941 to Trinidad and Esperanza (Quiroz) Calderon in Austin, Texas. He married Maria Jimenez on June 20, 1960, they were married for over 57 years. Johnny was a hard worker and was a farmer. He liked collecting knives and he would also build bird houses and small benches. Johnny also really liked the color burgundy. But most of all he was a humble man; who kept to himself.

He was a member of El Sendero de la Cruz.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife Maria Calderon of Hale Center, his children, sons; Steve and wife Diann Calderon of Maryland, Lupe Calderon of Hale Center, his daughter?s; Carmen Ybarbo and husband Larry of Lubbock, Rosemary Orta and husband Ernest of Dallas, and Diann Saenz of Dallas, his brothers; Jimmy Calderon and wife Dora of Hale Center, Raymond Calderon and wife Janie of Hale Center, Frank Calderon and wife Gloria of Euless, Trinidad Calderon and wife Dora of Hale Center, Leo Calderon of Hale Center, his sisters; Lupe Gutierrez of Hale Center, Connie Calderon of Galveston, Socorro Riojas of Garden City, Kansas, and Janie Froylan Arcega of Galveston, 13 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad and Esperanza Calderon.
