Lemons, Naomi Kornegay

Lubbock -- Services for Naomi Lemons, 86, of Lubbock will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2011, at Southcrest Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Lemons died Tuesday, April 5, 2011, in a local hospital.

She was born on a farm near Duke, Okla., to A.W. and Ruby Martin Kornegay. She had been a Lubbock resident since 1957, and became an avid supporter of the Lady Raiders, as well as excelling in bowling and collecting many trophies. She was also a member of the Southcrest Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Tonya McReynolds Johnson of Lubbock; one son, Terry McReynolds of Houston; one stepson, Troy Lemons of Dallas; one brother, Jack Kornegay of Lubbock; and one sister, Genella Cupp of Edmond, Okla. She is also survived by five nephews; six great-nieces and nephews; and 11 great-great-nieces and nephews.
