Jamison, Fred E.,Sr., Mrs. (Daphine Thornton)

Services for Daphine Jamison, 97, of Plainview will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 21, at Bartley Memorial Chapel with Johnny McDonald of 9th and Columbia Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview.

Mrs. Jamison passed from this life on April 19, 2018 in Plainview.

Daphine was born on October 12, 1920 in Floyd County, Texas to Emmett and Eva Whitfield Thornton. She worked in the ASCS Office. She was a member of the 9th and Columbia Church of Christ since age 14.

Those left to cherish her memory are one son; Fred E. Jamison, Jr. and wife JoAnne of Abilene, TX; son Robert M. Jamison and wife, Glenda of Franklin, TN, seven grandchildren; Jerri Jamison Adams and husband Butch of Plano; Jenni Jamison Priest and husband Ed of Abilene; Fred E. Jamison III and wife Brenda of Abilene; Shonne Jamison Landry and husband, Terry of Dallas; Justin M. Jamison and wife, Denise of Rockwall; Richey G. Havenhill and wife, Lee Ann of Arlington; Michael Scott Havenhill of Lubbock ; 9 great grandchildren; Ryan, Eric, Elizabeth, Emily, William, Parker, Creede, Madison and Lauren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Emmett and Eva Whitfield Thornton; her husband, Fred E. Jamison, Sr.; and her daughter, Genevia Jamison Havenhill.
