Dorsey, Delbert Eugene, Mrs. (Eddie Ruth Jenkins Tackett)

Eddie Ruth Jenkins, 88, of Sweeny passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on August 9, 1927 in Corsicana, Texas to Authur Edger Tackett and Willie Ethel Chapman Tackett.

A Virtuous woman was who she was and always will be to our family. She was a great homemaker and loved her family dearly. She enjoyed all sorts of needle work, embroidery, crochet and crossword puzzles. Her favorite pastime was spending quality time with family and friends. Her kind and gentle spirit will always be remembered and her faithfulness never forgotten.

?Ruth? was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Delbert Dorsey; brothers, Norman and Jimmy Tackett and sister, Vera Phillips.

Left with cherished memories are her three sons, Jerry Stegall and wife, Jetta of Sweeny; Larry K. Stegall of Lubbock and Tommy E. Jenkins and wife, Sara of Lubbock; daughter, Carolyn Kreh and husband, Tom of North Richland Hills; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
