Leatherwood, David Shane

David Shane Leatherwood, 38, of Plainview, died March 4th 2018. He was born August 13th 1979 at High Plains Hospital in Hale Center to Arlie Leatherwood and Darlene Hill. He attended and graduated Plainview High School in 1997. He worked and attended Vogue Beauty Academy where he graduated in 2010 and International Academy of Design where he received his Bachelor of Arts in 2013, pursuing his talent and passion for cosmetology and clothing design. David always reached for the stars, the sky was the limit. He was a son, a brother, a nephew, an uncle and a friend to many and always had a smile on his face. He lived life to the fullest and will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his father, Arlie Leatherwood, 2 brothers, Brandon Lee Leatherwood and A. Lee Leatherwood, his sister, Lisa Marie Hill Cranfill, 3 nephews, Brandon Lee Leatherwood Jr. Ethan Tillman, Hayden Tillman, 4 nieces, Elizabeth Ann Leatherwood, Shaylee Leatherwood, Kieran Leatherwood, Kayleigh Leatherwood and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by grandparents, Homer and Daisy Dudley, Dee Leatherwood, Nellie Mae Stansbury, James Roy Stansbury, his mother Darlene Hill and sister Tonya Lee Leatherwood.

A memorial service will be held Saturday March 10th at 3:00 at Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview to celebrate his life.
