Settle, Ricky Lee

Ricky Lee Settle passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, in Tyler, Texas.

Cremation will take place in Tyler at a time to be determined. No services are planned. Mr. Settle grew up a devoted Nazarene. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps beginning in 1970 and was honorably discharged in 1974. He married Phyllis Roberts on Jan. 21, 1987. He moved from Plainview to Maybank, Texas, in 2008. He was a lifelong truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, C.E. "Bud" Settle and Lois Settle; grandmother, Lois Looney; and one stepson, Jerohme Widener.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis; two stepsons, Joe and Darren Widener; one stepdaughter, Elizabeth Widener; his parents, Joe and Roberta Settle; two brothers, Tim and Danny Settle; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
