Ross, Howard Kent

Graveside services for Howard Kent Ross, 84, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Parklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church, officiating. Burial arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home. Mr. Ross died at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2004, in the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Amarillo. He was born May 20, 1920, in Bonham. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and had worked for United Farm Co-op for more than 20 years. He and his wife, Willie, were married Aug. 21, 1982. She died in May 2001. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Ray Sampley of Memphis, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Norma Ross of Memphis; a brother, Dale Ross of Lockney; three sisters, Imogene Martin of Burkburnett, Gayle Browning of Bridge City and Gwendolyn Wright of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; and three grandchildren. His parents, three brothers and one sister are deceased.
