Smith, Rickey Lynn

Services for Rickey Lynn Smith, 63, of Abilene, TX, will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 26, 2011, in the First Baptist Church, Abernathy, TX. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home & Flower Shop of Abernathy, TX. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery.
Mr. Smith died at his home in Abilene, Tuesday, March 22, 2011.
He was born February 27, 1948. He farmed with his parents in Hale County, TX until moving to Abilene in the late 1980's where he was employed by American Electric Power (AEP).
He is survived by his wife Linda Smith of Abilene, TX, a daughter, Darla Carter and her husband Jared of Tyler, TX, 2 step sons, Buster Collings of Austin, TX and Shaun Collings and his fiance' Anne Nguyen of Los Angeles, CA, 2 sisters, Dana Annis of Abernathy, TX and Anna Hill of Lubbock, TX, 2 grandchildren, Justin and Golden.
