Pool, Glenn
PETERSBURG- Funeral services for Glenn Pool, 85, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jessie Nave, a Baptist minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Petersburg Cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home of Plainview.
Mr. Pool died at 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2000, in Hi-Plains Nursing Home in Hale Center.
He was born June 16, 1914, in Becton where he grew up and graduated from Becton High School. He moved to the Harmony Community in 1944 and retired from farming in 1974.
He had served as city judge in Petersburg for nine years.
He was a member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for many years.
On Nov. 27, 1937, he married Juanita Turner in Lubbock.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Herschel and Debbie Pool of Charlotte, N.C., and Rick and Alma Pool of Hale Center; two sisters, Bertie Bolen of Burleson and Anabell Stevens of Abernathy; five grandchildren, Joshua and Jennifer Pool of Charlotte and Ricky, Kortney and Kairi Pool of Hale Center.
