Ballinger, Bill, Mrs. (Beverly Nan Johnson)

Beverly Nan Ballinger, 86, of Plainview, passed from this life on February 21, 2018 in Plainview, surrounded by her family. Interment will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Plainview Memorial Park. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Bartley Funeral Home.

Nan was born on February 19, 1932 in Electra, Texas to Chester and Eula (McDonald) Johnson. She married Bill Ballinger on April 15, 1949 in Perryton, Texas. From this union they had one child Randy Ballinger.

Nan started out working for Dixie Shop for many years before she decided to open her own retail store in Plainview called Nan?s Unique Fashion?s. Nan loved all her customers. She always made coffee in a silver tea set for her customers to sit and visit while they were at her store. Nan loved to cook, paint and draw. She was also a Grandmother to lots of people.

Those left to cherish her memory are her one and only granddaughter; Reggie Stalcup and husband Chase of Plainview, and her daughter-in-law; Arlene Ballinger of Plainview.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Chester and Eula Johnson, her husband; Bill Ballinger, her son; Randy Ballinger, and her brother; Jimmy Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations, in honor of Nan Ballinger, be made to Cal Farley?s Boys Ranch P.O. Box 1890 Amarillo, Texas 79174-0001.
