Wade, Denis R. (Dick), Mrs. (Altia L. Jackson)

Services for Altia Jackson Wade, 87, of Abernathy will be at 2 p.m. today at Northside Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Parmer officiating.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.

She died Tuesday, April 23, 2002.

She was born Feb. 4, 1915, in Stephens County, Okla. The family moved to Anton in 1925 and she attended school at Spade. She married Dennis R. Wade on Dec. 22, 1935. He died April 27, 1987. They farmed west of Abernathy before moving to town in 1964. She worked for Grahams Restaurant for several years. She was a Baptist and a member of the Abernathy Senior Citizens.

Survivors include two sons, Marvin of Paris, Ark., and James of Lubbock; a daughter, Carol Boyd of Abernathy; a sister, Lorene Hill of Westville, Okla.; a brother, Jewell Jackson of Hawkins; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
