York, Free Misty

Free Misty York was born to Rickey Lee York & Deborah Lynn Norman. Misty was born in Hale Center Texas on April 20, 1974 she died April 21, 1974 in Hale Center Texas of Hyaline Membrane Disease due to being premature. She is buried in the Abernathy Cemetery. She is the granddaughter of Carl & Dolly York.

Misty has no brothers or sisters. She was the only child born to Rickey Lee York. I had just turned 10 years old when she died, I remember my mom Dolly (Misty's grandmother) dressing her for the funeral in a little white dress, and soft pink blanket. She only weighed 2 pounds 14 oz. with red hair and fair skin. My mom held her in her arms while we drove to the cemetery, all the while my mom sang church hymns to her.
