Stanton, Donald Tarver

Donald Tarver Stanton, 73, of Henrietta, Texas, passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, 2012, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Mr. Stanton was born June 13, 1939, in Becton, Texas, to Mack and Elizabeth (Tarver) Stanton. He married Sheila Priddy on Feb. 21, 1959, in Idalou, Texas. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Lions Club in New Mexico. Mr. Stanton was also a truck driver and a member of the Church of Christ. He loved his grandchildren as well as flying and gardening.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, in the Abernathy Cemetery, Abernathy, Texas, under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Stanton of Wichita Falls, Texas; two daughters, Sheila D'Aun Jones and husband Michael of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Donna Stanton-Jones of Graham, Texas; son, Donald Ray Stanton and wife Lorri of Henrietta, Texas; three grandchildren, Heather Burch and husband Daniel of Graham, Texas, Kathryn Stanton of Henrietta, Texas, and Jo Beth Stanton of Henrietta, TX; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
