Teeter, Theodore Napolean,Jr., Mrs. (Frances Elaine Harris)
Frances Elaine (Harris) Teeter arrived in Heaven on Wednesday, October 2, 2013! Services to honor her memory and celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 7, at Abernathy's First Baptist Church. Officiating will be her son, Rev. Teddy Teeter, and grandsons, Revs. Kerry Tilley and Barry Tilley. Interment will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 5, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Lubbock's Agape Funeral Chapel.
Born January 4, 1925 to John Franklin and Mamie Floe (Thompson) Harris in Russellville, Arkansas, Frances was 88 years young at her home-going. On July 8, 1944 she married T.N. (Junior) Teeter, and to this marriage six children were born. The family moved to the Lubbock area in September 1955, making Abernathy their home since 1956. She worked at Lubbock's International Airport for over thirty years in the airlines' Passenger Security Department, retiring in 2002.
Family members greeting and welcoming Frances in heaven: her husband; parents; daughter, Kathy (Teeter) Vannoy; son-in-law, Albert Ambrose; granddaughter, Heather Vannoy; two additional grandbabies and two great-grandbabies; brothers, Orvis Thompson, Virgil Harris, J.W. Harris, Hershel Harris; and sister, Ima Jane (Harris) Teeter.
On this side of heaven 3 daughters, Judy Tilley (Buddy), Joyce Teeter, and Teresa Ambrose, all of Abernathy; and two sons, Danny Teeter (Teresa) of Burkburnett, and Teddy Teeter (Louise) of Olton all of whom will continue to cherish the memory of their Mother. Also, 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren (one on the way) will continue to cherish the memory of their ?NaNaw'. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Arliss Rey and Jane McAnulty (Billy), 7 nieces and 3 nephews.
Additionally, Frances' memory will be cherished and her life will be celebrated by friends and neighbors as well as her church family at Lubbock's Cornerstone Family Church where she was a faithful and beloved member for over 20 years.
