LUBBOCK - Yvonne Torrez went to be with our Lord Feb. 24, 2012. She was born to Pedro and Ernestina Torrez Feb. 16, 1967, in Lubbock, Texas.

Rosary services will be tonight in Guajardo Funeral Chapels at 7 p.m. Yvonne loved her family and was a Cursillista, which sustained her spirituality. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Friday at 10 a.m. with Msgr. David Cruz officiating. Interment will follow in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.

She is survived by her parents; a brother, Ron and wife Carmen; two nieces, Briza and Adriana; and two nephews, Sergio, and Armando. Our beloved daughter, sister, and aunt has gone to rest in the peace of Christ.
