Turner, Thomas Neff, Mrs. (Mildred Bell Robison)

Services for Mildred Bell Turner, known all of her life as Mickey, age 100, of Abernathy will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Abernathy, with Rev. Mike O'Donnell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Turner died June 30, 2007, at The Plaza Nursing Home, in Lubbock.

She was born on March 16, 1907, in Southland, to W.H. and Annie Robison. She was the fifth child of 13 children. She married Thomas Neff Turner on Aug. 21, 1928, in County Line. They were married for 72 years before he preceded her in death on Sept. 27. 2000. Also preceding her in death is a daughter, Geneva Turner in 1935 and a son-in-law, Charles Evans in 2003.

Survivors include three daughters, Reba and husband W.D. Buske of Friona, Silverine and husband Bill Hughes of Eagle Nest, N.M. and Pat Evans of Abernathy; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nine great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Abell Funeral Home, 411 16th Street, in Abernathy from 6:30 - 8 p.m. this evening, July 1, 2007.
