Peters, Billy A.

Graveside services for Billy A. Peters, 75, of Carlsbad, N.M. will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2004, in the Abernathy Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Winn officiating and under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy. Mr. Peters died Monday, June 28, 2004, at his daughter's home in Lubbock.

He was born March 14, 1929 in Siloam Springs, Ark. to Lee and Martha Prollock Peters. He was a longtime resident of Carlsbad.

Survivors include his six children, Alan Peters of McCamey, Beverly Winn and her husband, Tim, and Barbara Chenault, all of Lubbock, Ray Peters and his wife, Herminia, and Raymond Peters, all of Carlsbad, N.M., and Melissa Carpenter and her husband, Donny, of Dimmitt; 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
