Barron, Jasper Leonardo (Pac-Man), Sr.

Jasper "Pac-Man? Leonardo Barron Sr., age 67, entered the Lord?s presence on January 30, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Doug Yates officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6-8:00P.M. at Lemons Funeral Home. Arrangements under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home.

Jasper was born on February 11, 1950 in Fort Worth, Texas to Jasper Barron Sr. and Josephine (Avila) Guevera. Jasper graduated from Roy Miller High School in Corpus Christi in 1971. Upon graduation Jasper enlisted in the United States Army, where he served until his retirement. Jasper married Juanita Perez in 1972 and was blessed with four children.
Jasper moved to Plainview around the early 1980?s. Besides being a master of Pac-Man, hence the nickname ?Pac-Man?, he also enjoyed playing billiards with his friends. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. Jasper also enjoyed participating in baseball, basketball and playing family board games.

Jasper is survived by his son, Jasper Barron III of Corpus Christi; his daughters, Mechel Barron of Marin City, CA, Jennifer Reyes of Novato, CA, and Belinda Ingraham and husband Gerald of Marin City, CA; brothers, Raul Barron of Amarillo, Raymond Tamez of San Antonio and Albert L. Perez of Twentynine Palms, CA, sister, Maria Anita Guerra of Elmendorf, 17 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Josephine A. Guevera and Jasper Barron Sr. and two granddaughters, Jasmine and Jaslyn Barron.

After Jasper?s mothers passing he was absorbed into the Esquivel family, John ?Popo?, Leesa and daughters Majik and Lyra (Bug).
