Polite, Earven Nolen, Mrs. (Willie (Faye) Carter)

Funeral Services for Willie "Faye" Polite, 72, of Plainview, will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 9, 2017 at United Baptist Church with Rev. M.L. White officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home in Plainview. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Polite died Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Lubbock, Tx.

She was born on February 22, 1945 in Sabine County, Texas to Rex Thomas and Lottie Carter. Faye was united in Holy Matrimony to the Earven Nolen Polite in Plainview.

After graduating from high school; Faye attended South Plains College with a Major in Business. Faye worked for many years as cook for Ash Elementary in Plainview before retiring.

Faye was a faithful member of United Baptist Church where she served as Pastor Aide and in the Kitchen Ministry, she was an excellent cook. Faye was a very loving, caring and compassionate friend to many.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother; Gregory Carter, daughter; Mary, son; Calvin John, and three grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her children; five sons, Roy Polite of Amarillo, Edward Polite of Lubbock, Chris Polite of Amarillo, Anthony Polite of Overton, and Earven Polite, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK.; seven daughters; Bertha (Allison) Owens of Clarksville, Tx., Thelma Polite, Doris Jackson, Beverly Polite, Virginia (Clellray) Hamilton, all of Amarillo, Judy Polite of Arlington, and Evette Polite of Guthrie, OK.; sisters: Melissa Armstrong, Melina Clark, Lorene Jackson, and brother, Steven Carter; 37 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, and 26 great-great-grandchildren, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
