Services for Joydene Lipham, 73, of Abernathy, TX were held at 10 am Wednesday, January 4, 2006, in the First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Arlen Ankle, pastor officiating. Burial followed in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy, TX.
Mrs. Lipham died Saturday, December 31, 2005 in Lubbock, TX.
She was born February 2, 1932 in Clyde, TX. She married Norman Glen Lipham, July 19, 1951 in Carlsbad, N.M. He preceded her in death August 13, 2005. They moved to Abernathy in 2001 from Alomogordo, N.M. They had owned and operated Whiteway Cafe in Belen, N.M. in the 1970's. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
She was preceded in death by twin sons, Norman Dean and Ricky Glen.
Survivors include her daughter, Dorinda Adams and her husband Jacob Torres of Abernathy, TX, a son, Darryl Randolph and his wife Tammy of Woodward, OK, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
