Ready, Joseph Pierce, Mrs. (Frances Young)

FRIONA - Frances Ready, 91, died Sunday, July 26, 2009, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Friona United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Colwell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Abernathy Cemetery by Blackwell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ready was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Bynum to Tom and Pearl House Young. She married J.P. Ready on Jan. 25, 1936, in Plainview.

Survivors include three sons, Mickey Ready of Waco, Frank Ready of Bonanza, Ore., and Don Ready of Summerfield; two daughters, Patricia Baker of Lipan and Wanda Reeve of Farwell; two sisters, Audrey Mahagan of Claytonville and Margie Pool of Tulia; four brothers, Earl Young of Bovina, Mearl Young of Cherokee, Okla., and Carlton Young and Billy Young, both of Plainview; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
