Reichwaldt, Donald John

Donald John Reichwaldt, 77, passed away on Oct. 22, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors with the Rev. Rob Bridwell officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Reichwaldt was born on Sept. 21, 1940, to John Jacob and Margaret M. (Schaad) Reichwaldt in Grover, Nebraska. He graduated from Milford High School in 1958. He later graduated from National Business Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska. He was employed as staff accountant in Lincoln, Neb., for five years; GL and chief accountant in Denver for 18 years and chief accountant and controller in Longmont for 18 years. His last five years was as a revenue auditor at Ameristar Casino in Black Hawk, Colo.. He retired in June 2006.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Reichwaldt and an infant brother, Gerald Reichwaldt.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Reichwaldt of Plainview; stepdaughter, Diane Surratt and husband Randy of Greeley, Colo.; step-grandson, Jeremy Surratt; sister, Geraldine Bothwell of Plainview; two nieces, Sharon Parish of Plainview and Susan McCallister of Lubbock and two grandnieces and one grandnephew.
