Cunningham, Jerry Dale (Doddie)

Jerry Dale "Doddie" Cunningham, 69, passed away on Oct. 26, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 at 2 p.m. at College Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Smith officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, from 4-6 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors.

Mr. Cunningham was born on Dec. 24, 1947, to Alvin and Laverne (McCay) Cunningham in Plainview, Texas. He grew up and attended schools in Plainview, graduating from Plainview High School in 1967 and attended college. He worked in the construction industry and did asbestos abatement for many years. He loved to fish and loved dogs and all animals.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Laverne Cunningham.

He is survived by one son, Gary Alvin Cunningham and wife Caryn of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Billy Cunningham and Colleen of Plainview; one sister, Martha Curtis and husband Bryan of Plainview; three grandchildren, Brandon Peters of Yuba City, Calif., Kelsey Cunningham of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Khloe Cunningham of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
