McAlister, Bobby, Mrs. (Mary Loyce Lambert)

Services for Mary Loyce McAlister, 73, of Abernathy will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at the Abernathy Church of Christ with David Bennett and Condy Billingsley officiating. The family will receive friends at Abell Funeral Home Thursday from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.

Mrs. McAlister died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, in Lubbock. She was born Sept. 20, 1931 in Vernon to Loyce W. and Nancy Lucille (Holland) Lambert. She moved to Abernathy in 1942 from Vernon. She married Bobby McAlister July 29, 1950 in Abernathy. She was a member of the Junior Study Club and Sunset Church of Christ. She was employed with Texas Tech University until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Keith, Charles and Elza Lambert; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Fannin Gray. She is survived by her husband, Bobby of Abernathy; a son, Perry McAlister and his wife, Dianna, of Lubbock; a daughter, Marilyn Fannin and her husband, Stephen, of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
