Porter, Wilborn Russell, Mrs. (Johnsey Davis)

Services for Johnsey D. Porter, 84, of Abernathy will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at the County Line Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Tilley and the Rev. Joel Perez officiating. Burial will follow at the Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.

Mrs. Porter died Wednesday, Nov. 2, at University Medical Center.

She was born June 17, 1921 in Cartersville, Okla. She married Wilborn Russell Porter Nov. 23, 1947 in Hale County. He preceded her in death Oct. 2, 1968. She moved to Abernathy in 1941 from the Becton/Heck-ville areas. She had been a longtime member of the County Line Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Musil and Anita Porter, both of Abernathy; a brother, Arbra Davis of Acuff; two sisters, Vida Nabors of Abernathy, and Lennie Samallin of Lincoln, Colo.; three grandchildren, Jeanette (Whitaker) Hastings of Lubbock, Stacy (Whitaker) Trotter of Hale Center, and Ammie Musil of Abernathy; and seven great-grand-children.
