Robison, Jesse R. (Pete)

Services for J.R. "Pete" Robison, 96, of Abernathy will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Abernathy First Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Wilcox, pastor, and Rev. Dennis Teeters, pastor of Lamesa First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.

He was born on May 18, 1902, in Lynn County. He married Mary Ina Turner on Oct. 14, 1923, at County Line. She preceded him in death on Feb. 6, 1991. He moved to Abernathy in 1944 from New Deal. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandy Lutrick, in 1982.

Survivors include a son, Donald Robison of Abernathy; a daughter, Bobbie Peeples of Lubbock; five sisters, Beulah Brack of Farmington, N.M., Mickey Turner of Abernathy, Cecil Guest of Orosia, Calif., Nell McGeorge of Oceanside, Calif., and Florene Miller of Oregon; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
