Wallingsford, Harlan Ulysses, Mrs. (Laverne Nell Howard)

Laverne Nell Wallingsford, 87, of Plainview passed away Oct. 5, 2017, in Lubbock, Texas. Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

She was born Feb. 3, 1930, in Gracemont, Oklahoma, to Roy and Eunie (Sharp) Howard. She worked as a medical records clerk at Nichols Hospital and later she was the activity director at Heritage Home in Plainview. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Wallingsford was preceded by her parents; her husband, Harlan Ulysses Wallingsford; two daughters and their husbands, Sharon Beth and James Mull and Starlene and Steve Clark; three sisters, Quinna Nichols, Juanita Robertson and Carolyn Green.

She is survived by a daughter, Jackie Howard and her husband Lonnie of Abernathy; a son, Randy Wallingsford and his wife Becky of Slaton; a brother-in-law, Jack Robertson of Lubbock; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
