Ortiz, David
Services for David Ortiz, 47, of New Deal will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at Church of the Nazarene, at the corner of Duke and Canton in Lubbock. Officiating will be Revs. Flores and Martinez. He died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003, in Ottawa, Ohio.

He was born July 16, 1956, and graduated from New Deal High School. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victoria and Saturnino Ortiz, both of New Deal. Mr. Ortiz worked at Wal-Mart. He was a member of the Nazarene Church.

Survivors include six sisters, Mary and Pete Andrades of New Deal, Yolanda and Tony Ortiz of Abernathy, Rachel and Tony Castillo of Weatherford, Texas, Lupe and Bill Olin, and Delores and Juan Fraire, all of Lubbock, and Beatrice and David Velasquez of Ottawa, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
