Ledbetter, Randal
PETERSBURG -- Randal Ledbetter, 62, of Petersburg and formerly of Hale Center, died Friday, July 14, 2017, in Petersburg. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at Petersburg Co-op Gin. Interment will follow at Petersburg Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors of Hale Center.
Randal Glen Ledbetter was born Aug. 16, 1954, in Plainview, Texas, to Henry and Charlene (Owens) Ledbetter. He was the gin superintendent for Petersburg Co-op Gin for 35 years. On March 30, 2005, he married Datha Morrow. Randal loved circle track racing, playing with his dogs, and fishing. Building and working at the gin was very important to Randal. A tenderhearted and gentle man, Randal loved his family and friends deeply and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Ledbetter and his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Datha Ledbetter of Petersburg, his mother, Charlene Ledbetter of Hale Center; two sons, Jason Ledbetter and his wife, Reba of Levelland and Bennie Murphy and his wife, Misty of Mejia; three daughters, DeLacey Ledbetter of Lubbock, Angela Morrow of Oregon, and Toni Rhodes of Waco; and two brothers, Kelly Ledbetter and his wife, Tonya of Hale Center and Dale Ledbetter of Hale Center. He was blessed with nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
