Viviano Coronado II, 70, of Amarillo, formerly of Plainview, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017.
A Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2017, in the Lemons Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plainview. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Lemons Funeral Home.
Viviano was born on August 7, 1946, in Alma, Michigan to Viviano and Monica Coronado. He married Santos Rodriguez in 1964 in Wharton, Texas. He was a talented musician and singer. He played the accordion and was lead vocalist with the group "Los Reales de Tejas." He loved watching the Dallas Cowboys. His biggest joy was having family gatherings. He was a consistent father figure to several family members, even as adults. He treated everyone like family, with welcoming arms. He's described by family members as having been patient, kind, fun and funny. Viviano was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He is leaving behind quite a legacy and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Felipa Rangel, Juanita Barrera and Julia Alvarado and by one great-granddaughter, Vanessa Nicole Sanchez.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 years, Santos, of Amarillo; one son, Gilbert Coronado of Amarillo; two daughters, Christina Coronado of Amarillo and Stephanie Coronado of San Angelo; two brothers, Guadalupe Coronado and Albert Coronado and seven sisters, Maria Coronado, Sara Chavira, Anita Coronado, Chavela Alvarado, Paulita Tasker, Delia Coronado and Mary Hernandez. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
