Kimberly Kay Weatherford Shaw, 52, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at Plainview Memorial Park with Gary Lloyd officiating. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Grace Christian Fellowship in Lampasas, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview, Texas.
A visitation will be held at Kornerstone Funeral Directors on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2017, from
6-7 p.m.
Kimberly was born on March 29, 1965, in Amarillo to Max and Judy Kay Weatherford. She graduated Plainview High School and studied nursing at South Plains College and UT Arlington. She married Jay Shaw on Dec. 18, 2005, in Plainview. She worked as a school nurse for Copperas Cove ISD. Mrs. Shaw had previously worked for Covenant Hospital Plainview and as a nurse with Plainview ISD. She loved being with her boys and watching them in their activities of band, choir and sports. Kimberly was blessed later in life with three daughters and loved having them as part of their family. She had a vibrant infectious soul. She delighted in making her family and extended family happy with her "over the top" parties and celebrations. She was a member of Grace Christian Fellowship. Kimberly lived her Christian faith by touching many lives with love, kindness, friendship and contagious smile. She was an amazing Mom, daughter and wife. She is a testimony of courage and a fighting spirit. Kim is forever in our hearts.
Kimberly is survived her husband, Jay Shaw of Lampasas, Texas; three sons, Zach Gillespie of Philadelphia, Pa., Remington Gillespie and Harrison Gillespie of Lampasas; her parents, Max and Judy Weatherford of Plainview; one brother, Todd Weatherford of New York, NY and three stepdaughters, Katie Shaw of Lampasas, Camille Shaw of Baltimore, Md. and Madalyn Shaw of Lampasas.
